2021 Robotics Appreciation Grant - NOW OPEN!

As our state and country continue to move further into the recovery stages of the pandemic, pent-up enthusiasm from our robotics students once again has taken center stage. Friends is now offering a new ROBOTICS APPRECIATION GRANT to deserving school teams around the state.

Submitted applications must be fully completed and include a signed W9 form (emailed to info@friendsofhawaiirobotics) in order to be reviewed by our Board of Trustees. Applications and W9s must be submitted by Wednesday April 21, 4:00 pm HT.

Please note: ONE application per school will be accepted.

If approved, grant checks will be mailed within 2 weeks of the grant closing date. 

Feel free to reach out to teams that have not received a Robotics Grant before and share the application with them. It will be good for YOU and the overall robotics community!

Lastly, this ROBOTICS APPRECIATION GRANT will be a multi-section grant. Section 2 includes information on the Stuart Nishimura Memorial "Above and Beyond" Student Scholarship for one student nomination per school to receive a $500 scholarship. All details are listed in the grant application.

Grant Review Process

It is the goal of FoHR to execute a fair and efficient review process so that team can be notified in a prompt manner. Each grant application will go through several layers of review, including a detailed recommendations by the FoHR Grant Committee and, ultimately by the entire FoHR Board of Directors for a final decision.
